SUCCESS STORIES
Carmen was a lawyer in Venezuela. She came to the US in 2016. She fled due to the political crisis in her country. She came with her husband and 4 children. In 2018, she was diagnosed with lymphoma cancer stage 5 cancer. She underwent operations and chemo treatments and lost all her hair. Despite everything, she continued believing and not allowing her Faith to be broken. After two very difficult years, she was cancer-free and completely healthy! She was ready to get back to work and found a job with Instacart delivering groceries to customer’s homes. Although, she was happy with her job, she dreamt of getting back in her career field. She enrolled in our Empowerment program and completed training at the Immigration Institute of Florida. She received several certifications and currently works with an Immigration Attorney. She will Graduate in October of this year as Paralegal. She had so many barriers and has finally been able to follow her dreams.
